FanConvert (“we”, “us”, “the Service”) helps creators connect their Patreon and Shopify accounts so the right membership labels show up in Shopify based on Patreon membership activity. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and how to remove it. It is provided for transparency and does not create rights or obligations beyond those in our Terms of Service.

1. What we collect

  • From you (the creator): your name, email address, the secure access codes you grant us for Patreon and Shopify, your Patreon page identifier, and your Shopify store address.
  • From Patreon: when one of your supporters joins, updates, or cancels their membership, Patreon sends us an update with that supporter's Patreon identifier, the type of change, the time it happened, and the supporting details Patreon includes in that update. We do not collect message content, posts, payment details, or anything outside of the membership updates Patreon sends us.
  • From your Shopify store: only what is needed to apply the matching membership label — the relevant Shopify customer record and the labels we manage for you. We do not read order history or payment information.

2. How we use it

  • To confirm that membership updates from Patreon are genuine.
  • To work out which membership label belongs on each Shopify customer record, and apply it.
  • To show you a dashboard of recent activity and current member status.
  • To track usage against the monthly allowance included with your plan.

We do not sell your data or your supporters' data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers listed below, to the extent needed to run the Service, and as required by law.

3. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate FanConvert. The current list is below. We may add or change providers from time to time as our infrastructure evolves and will update this page when we do.

  • Supabase — database and account sign-in.
  • Railway — hosts the parts of FanConvert that talk to Patreon and Shopify on your behalf.
  • Vercel — hosts this dashboard.
  • Patreon — source of the membership updates we act on. We hold the access you grant us until you revoke it.
  • Shopify — destination for the membership labels we apply. We hold the access you grant us until you revoke it.

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep recent membership update records for a limited period so we can re-run them if something fails, and then archive or remove them. Access codes for Patreon and Shopify are stored in encrypted form and removed when you disconnect either integration or close your account. We aim to complete deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or backup-rotation reasons.

To request deletion, email contact@fanconvert.us from the address on file.

5. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive credentials, and restricted internal access. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, and you use FanConvert at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no representation or warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or immune to unauthorized access.

6. Your role and responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share your supporters' information with FanConvert under Patreon's and Shopify's terms and any privacy laws that apply to you. With respect to your supporters' information, FanConvert acts on your instructions and does not decide on its own to use that information for any other purpose.

7. Your choices

You can disconnect FanConvert at any time from your Patreon settings (Apps) or from your Shopify admin (Apps → FanConvert → Uninstall). Disconnecting stops further processing for your account; data removal then proceeds as described in section 4.

8. Children

FanConvert is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided information through the Service, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

9. International users

FanConvert is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service you consent to that processing.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates take effect when posted, and we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. Contact

Email contact@fanconvert.us with any privacy-related question or request.
